Adult helpers are needed
– particularly tent leaders and kitchen helpers
Warrior Camp helpers need to be a minimum 18 years old; Teen Camp helpers must be at least 20 years old.
We need keen Christians, willing to give their time and energy, as part of the camp team. Tent leaders live alongside the campers and share in all aspects of the programme.
Helpers are also needed for pre-camp preparations in July, and for packing up afterwards. No charge is made.
There is an orientation weekend for all adult leaders and helpers early July. It is essential that all helpers attend this, particularly if you are joining us for the first time.
Costs for adult helpers are minimal to cover food etc. Some tent leaders and others
sharing in all the activities of camp may wish to give more to helps
us keep the price low for the children.
Group bookings – every 11th place is free!
For every 10 campers booked into WEC Camps, we'll give an extra place free!
Advanced notification of party bookings indicating the potential size of the
group would be helpful. This does not guarantee places. Party leaders
may submit unnamed applications provided they are accompanies by the
appropriate non-refundable deposit.
Travel
Fees do not cover transport to or from the campsite. Those travelling independently by coach or train will be met by arrangement.
Safety and Security
As we are under canvas in a field safety and security are of utmost
importance. all campers are accommodated in tents which usually house
three young people and one adult. This is to ensure reasonable safety
and security for your child.
Staff patrol through the late evening and there is a member of staff on site at all times. In addition WEC Youth operates a comprehensive child protection policy, a copy of which is available on request.
WEC Camp staff reserve the right to send home, without refund of fees, any camper suffering from a health problem of which we have not been previously informed, or whose behaviour is detrimental or disruptive to the camp.
