The father
of a British boy kidnapped in Pakistan
has returned home, against the wishes of the country's police, the BBC has
learned. Sahil Saeed, five, from Oldham, Greater Manchester, was seized by an armed gang
while staying with relatives last week. Pray for Sahil's safety and release and also for
his parents and relatives.

Pray for
the leadership of the church in Belgium.
There is a lack of Belgian pastors, especially in the northern Flemish area.
Less than half of the leaders in the Flemish churches are from that area. Pray
for new life in the church and for many Belgians to be called into leadership
in the church.

Sandwiched
between Brazil and Suriname, French Guiana is the only remaining
colony in South America. There has never been any permanent work
established among the tribes who live in the equatorial jungle. Pray that
Christians from tribes in Brazil
and Suriname would be called
to share the gospel and disciple people from their tribes who live in Guiana.

Protestant
and evangelical Christians face some persecution and hassles from the authorities.
Pray that churches would still grow despite all the problems they face.

|
Muslim Abhazians
and Ossettian who are minorities within their ethnic groups need to be reached
with the gospel. Both peoples have been
embroiled with the Georgian government in bitter wars of secession. Pray that a witness to the gospel might become established among these minority people groups.

While 90%
of East Timorese claim to be Catholic, many are bound by fear of ancestral and
evil spirits. Creating openings and
gaining breakthroughs is slow and challenging.
Pray for the breaking down of religious control over the people and the
setting free of many from fear and spiritual bondage into the liberty of
Christ.

There is a
dearth of Bibles in Burundi. The Bible Society has distributed many Bible
portions that challenge readers concerning reconciliation. Pray that an increasing number of Bibles and
scripture portions are made available to fill this gap.
