Applying for Trek

The application procedure is as follows..

1. CONTACT US. Email us from the contact Trek page (our telephone number and address are there too if you prefer.

2. We will then send you a PRELIMINARY PROFILE FORM. This will help us to suggest placement options. It is emailed to you after Step 1.

3. The next stage is where we ask for full APPLICATION PAPERS AND MEDICAL FORM. On this we ask for three addresses of referees, including one from your church leader.

4. INTERVIEW. Once your references are in, if we feel we could offer you a placement, we would arrange for you to come for an interview with us or with a WEC representative in your area.

5. We then ask you to do some PRE-DEPARTURE READING. This will help you to prepare for your placement.

6. If your application is successful, and before leaving we will invite you to an ORIENTATION COURSE.This will be a vital opportunity to prepare and to meet other Trekkers.

Trekking Deeper

Trekking Deeper is a devotional discipleship course written by Phil Grasham. Phil has worked in church-planting and Bible teaching overseas in several different countries, and was originally a short-term worker himself.

This course is written specifically for short-term volunteers to use during their placements. The aim is to help Trekkers keep their focus on Christ and grow spiritually while they are on assignment.
