The Opportunities:

The Gambia: 2 weeks, 5-19 December 2008
To help with building project and local outreach, but two days' sight-seeing will be included at the end of the programme.
The WEC Headquarters in The Gambia comprises two floors with four apartments on each level. The ground floor is complete and in use. The second floor requires windows and doors fitting, bathroom and kitchens plumbed in and kitted out. There is a lot of painting to be done and curtains to be made for all the windows.
This Trek to Gambia team is looking for an electrician, a carpenter, a plumber, painters and decorators and those with DIY skills, and people who can do sewing and catering.
Cost: approx. £350 plus airfare.
Congo: December 2008, exact dates to follow
Impart your IT skills to those with little or no
skills. Take this opportunity to face the challenge of travelling to
this war-torn country, formerly Zaire, and encourage local believers.

Senegal: Easter 2009 - teach computing for 10 days
Get involved in teaching computer skills to local Christians. There may also be opportunities for teaching English, outreach and evangelism.
Italy: 6-12 April 2009 - men only, working with Betelitos
Spend a week in Naples with Betel, WEC's ministry among those overcoming substance addictions. Live and work with the Betel men, helping with furniture removals, furniture restoration, cleaning, cooking, painting, gardening, distribution of literature, etc.
You will also get to know the Betel church, and be challenged to share their burden for the city of Naples. There will be a full programme of missions led by Betel's staff, but also some free time to explore the beautiful surroundings.
Cost: approx £360.

Visit South Korea: 21 May to 1 June 2009
See what God is doing in Korea. Visit some mega-churches and the famous Prayer Mountain. Interact with local Christians. Make a trip into North Korea and pray for the country.
Cost: approx £900.
South Africa: 19 July to 30 August 2009
Engage in social action and cross-cultural evangelism. This is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people who haven't heard about Jesus Christ, as well as encourage those Christians who are experiencing difficulties. Get involved in ministry and prayer among settlement dwellers, visit patients at HIV/AIDS unit, help with maintenance and gardening.
Cost: approx £1,350.


Thailand & China: around 1-30 August 2009
Help run a 10-day children's programme at a conference in Thailand, before heading into China for two weeks of outreach and friendship evangelism.
