2011 Team Trek opportunities

Thailand/China

This will be a trip of a lifetime that will provide you with hands-on learning experience:  running children's activities, teaching English and making friends with Chinese children and young people.  Find a new level of faith and embark on a deeper walk with the Lord.

Dates:  23rd July - 14th August 2011*

South Africa

See the poverty of settlements, the smiles and songs of children, the exuberant joy of Zulu believers whilst helping practically in the garden, kitchen, renovation and maintenance work and working alongside African mamas.  You will have many opportunities to share Christ's love in the children's clubs, nursery, Bible studies, hospital and care centre by doing crafts, playing and praying.  This will be an unforgettable experience.

Italy

This trek is for men only.  Trekkers will be living and working alongside recovering substance abusers at the Betel Centre in Naples.  This will also be a time to worship God and be amazed at what He can do.  Scroll down to see what the 2010 team got up to.  Willing workres are required just as much as skilled workers.

the men's team Trek return from Betel Italy

In July, a team of seven travelled from the UK to the Betel Centre in Naples, Italy for a 2 week Trek where they lived and worked alongside recovering substance abusers.  Work consisted of renovation and restoration of the swimming pool, bathroom and other living areas in the Betel Centre.

Betel International is a WEC ministry which provides an environment for substance abusers to recover and rebuild their lives. Treks to Betel are for men only.  So, if you are a skilled worker, or just willing to get your hands dirty and have a heart for this kind of ministry, there will be another Trek to Betel in 2011, so watch this space!
