Camps 2010 a massive success

Two Andys on beach patrolWEC Camps 2010 have been a massive success!

Teen Camp has packed up from Charmouth and gone home, after two great weeks of fun, games, awesome trips, and young people's lives having changed.

Warrior Camp is into Week C in Beer, Dorset, and have enjoyed fab weather, brilliant young campers and a great atmosphere.

Frogs and Skype chats

frogI’d nipped out for five minutes and returned home to find a frog sat on my laptop. I quickly found a Tupperware box, captured it (before it started to elude me by jumping athletically around the living room) and went outside to release it.  However, I was suddenly gripped by the fear it might leap back onto me.

So, I went to a female neighbour. After she courageously affirmed, 'I’m not afraid of frogs,' I beckoned her outside to release aforementioned frog. Despite this bold claim, she suddenly exclaimed, 'it might jump on me when I open the box and it is rather large ….'

Cobras and cultural surprises

1.  Over the past few weeks I've had the opportunity to learn what to do when a snake appears …Brazilian cobra

It all begins with one girl screaming: 'Cobra! Cobra! Aaaaaggggghhhhhhh!'

This conjures up an entire gaggle of girls screaming 'Cobra!' and a group of boys rushing to be self-appointed saviours.
